Summer Mountain Bike Series 2009

Race 2, Val de la Mare, 26 July 2009

Race 2 of the CCC Mountain Bike Summer Series supported by Lawrence De Gruchy got under way at a very dry Val De La Mare Course on Sunday 26th July. A reduced field with riders away at the Trans Alp Challenge and on the road in the Round The Bays race saw 17 riders come under starters orders.

The early leader was Vet, Bruce Dingle followed by Krzysztof Jeromkin and Rhys Hidrio. Lap 3 saw Dingle slip back to second with Jeromkin in Third and Hidrio clean away in First. The leaders positions remained unchanged through the remaining five laps to the finish. Further down the field, Super Vet Sean Le Breuilly again showed his challengers a clean pair of heels with Ben Le Brocq first Junior home.
