The Cycle Centre Thursday night circuit series got off to a breezy start with each of the three divisions being hotly contested.
The second division kicked off the racing over the ten lap races with a constant high pace which saw the field stretching out throughout but ended in the usual high-speed dash up the home straight to the line with Mike Keighrey edging out big Noel Hayden and the returning Jamie Barker with the rest of the field close behind.
The firsts and thirds shared the track for the evening's second contests and Chris Seviour enlivend proceedings towards the end of the seniors' elite race by breaking free with two laps to go and only just being caught before the finishing straight with Adam Wojtkiewicz catching Paul Gage to win the sprint.
The third cats were not to be out-shone by their counter-parts and produced a thrilling bunch sprint with Graham Horsley, Andy Ilton and Shaun Bosio just keeping the rest of the field at bay. [AM]
