Steve Goaziou is victorious after a lone break in the Senior event. Steve Scotcher takes the Amatori race well clear of the field with Peter Hubert outsprinting Tony Williams for second.

The Vélo Sport Jersey cycle road race was held at the Bal Tabarin in difficult weather conditions which kept the riders together for most of the race. In the nine-lap seniors race Steve Goaziou (Caesarean Cycling Club) crossed the line first in a time of 1 hour 58 min 32 sec; second was Ali Cann (CCC) in 2 hours 02 sec. The eight-lap Amatori winner was Steve Scotcher in 1 hour 50 min 47 sec followed by Peter Hubert (CCC) in 1 hr 51 min 47 sec. Ruth Bonney (VSJ) was first woman home in 1 hr 58 min 52 sec.
