It
was with deep sadness that the club had to announce that Tony
Richomme died on Friday 10 February after a short illness. Tony
had been an active member of the club for many years and was
one of its most respected cyclists. He will be greatly missed
by us all.
Tony
was 45 years old

Tour
de France trip (10mar06)
Club member, Richard Jenkyn will be travelling down to watch the Tour
in the Pyrenees on 8th July returning on 15th July this year. You
will be welcome to join him and see the tour from the best vantage
points - usually by cycling to the top of the col. As his house will
be unoccupied during that time he is kindly offering anyone wishing
to watch the stages 9 to 12 (Bordeaux through to Carcassonne) the
opportunity to see the tour and accommodation at his house (it sleeps
up to 10 comfortably and 15 at a pinch). For those travelling from
Jersey he can offer four spaces in his car as well but will need to
know before Easter so that he can book the ferry crossing (as there
will no doubt be limited spaces with the World Cup and other sports
events taking place in Europe this Summer). If
you're interested, please contact Richard directly on 765102 or 869519
(evenings).
