Four riders are travelling to Norfolk this week for the first
round of the British Mountain Bike X Country Championships.
Robin Ovenden, the current Jersey Elite champion, Kieron Mills
and James Patterson will all compete in the expert class and
Rhys Hidrio the newly crowned sport champion, will ride in the
Junior 17 - 18 year old category.
This weekend's event is held on the Brandon side of Thetford
Forest, this offers more elevation then the traditional Thetford
courses and it holds up well in wet conditions. The local club
has been working hard developing and maintaining new trails in
the forest, the 6.5 mile course promises to be fast and loads
of fun.
All major teams and sponsored riders are expected to be participating.
Other rounds in the series are held at Sherwood Pines, Newnham
Park Plymouth, along with Margham Park and Coed e Brenin in Wales.
