Fancy riding a stage of the Tour of Britain - and raise money for fighting Prostate Cancer? Here's a message from Mike Price a Jersey based trustee of the Prostate Cancer Charity: For the first time ever, keen cyclists are being offered the opportunity to ride a stage of the Tour of Britain and help to fight Prostate Cancer at the same time. I thought your members would be interested in testing their endurance on Stage 5 of the Tour of Britain. This is the same demanding 145km course that the professionals ride and is taking place near Stoke-on-Trent on 6th September. For more information and to sign up to this unique event, please visit the website www.unitebycycling.org.uk. Prostate Cancer kills one man every hour in the UK alone. The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Tour of Britain are working together to help fight prostate cancer on every front. Further information about the charity can be found at www.prostate-cancer.co.uk.
Many of you will remember Norman Clayton a long standing member of the CCC who died of prostate cancer in 2007. |
